Announces virtual dedicated server hosting on Dell's 9th generation servers, located in the Equinix northern Virginia data center.
Myriad Network, a provider of web hosting and data center services, today unveiled its latest offering in hosting services: virtual dedicated server hosting on Dell's 9th generation servers, located in the Equinix northern Virginia data center.
The company says that now immediately available the virtual dedicated servers, or VDS, provide users with a level of security, reliability and speed. Myriad Network's virtual dedicated server hosting platform gives each unique account its own secure container within the northern Virginia data center. This unique container is completely partitioned from other accounts and provides users with up-to-the-minute technology like Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) drives, 4 3.0Ghz Intel Xeon processor cores, 8 GB of memory, redundant power supplies and root access.
"These are the fastest VDS servers we've ever deployed and they represent a significant step forward in ultra-fast operations through our northern Virginia data center," remarks Jeff Petersen, Myriad Network's CIO. "With this kind of speed, users with virtual dedicated server hosting can achieve almost instantaneous load times for databases, forums, streaming media, e-commerce sites and more. Pretty much, if it runs on a server, our new VDS platform will make it run faster with double the power."
