Web host allows businesses to apply for their .me domains before landrush.
Netfirms, Inc., a web host and domain name registrar, announced that it is now accepting applications for .me domain names. It states that the addition of .me domains to their product line gives business owners worldwide the opportunity to apply for their .me domains before the official Landrush period commences on June 6th.
The company declared that customers registering .me domain names with them will receive a basic webpage with 25MB of disk space that can be edited immediately, an email account at the domain including a calendar, address book and spam filtering and full DNS management with the user-friendly Control Panel.
"Netfirms is one of the first registrars to accept .me domain applications. Businesses with strong brands are encouraged to act quickly and register their .me domains during this period," states Thomas Savundra, President of Netfirms. "In addition to protecting their trademarks on the web, this new and unique domain name extension is easy to remember and gives companies the power to communicate with their audiences on a whole new and more personal level."
