The company introduces direct purchase and application of SSL certificates through its Control Panel.

Netfirms Inc., a domain name registrar, today introduced seamless purchase and application of SSL Certificates as a standard feature through its Control Panel.

The company explains that its web hosting customers can now click a button that says 'Add SSL Certificate' found in their control panel. Here they will be prompted for the domain name, certificate type (currently RapidSSL and GeoTrust QuickSSL Premium are available), and the usual customer information for validation. Its automation will take care of the rest, including application of the SSL certificate to their site.
