New network facility sits on fiber from Tier 1 and Tier 2 networks with national as well as global peering arrangements.
NextPhase Wireless, a developer of WiMAX-ready networks and a provider of broadband solutions, today announced the opening of its Tier 1 data center in Philadelphia, PA. The company states that the new network facility sits on fiber from Tier 1 and Tier 2 networks with national as well as global peering arrangements. To NextPhase this means capacity for growth as well as possibilities for redundancy, assuring network availability to its customers.
"This new data center accomplishes two key goals for us as we continue to grow and move forward," said Michael Jones, CTO of NextPhase Wireless. "First, this allows us to increase our network capacity to meet growing customer demand and second, it allows us to increase our service footprint and support our planned licensed WiMAX deployment over the first quarter of this year," Jones added."
''Customers in the region have been requesting an affordable, high capacity bandwidth solution. WiMAX will allow us to deliver a large amount of bandwidth at a reduced cost. They have also requested ancillary WiMAX services that will help increase their productivity and dependability. The increased infrastructure is the first step in answering this demand," Jones said, "with the remaining steps to follow shortly," he added." Our fiber network infrastructure is now in line with Tier 1 networks globally, and our technology will put us years ahead of our competition over the next few months as we roll out WiMAX offerings in New Jersey and Pennsylvania," said Jones.
