Company satisfied of achieving 50,000 domains in the past one year.
Network Information Center Mexico, administrator of the cctTLD .MX, today announced that it has reached, a new mark of domain names' registration, reaching the amount of 250,000 domains registered under the .MX
The registry states that this new number turns out to be promising in increasing the use of .MX domain names, given the accelerated behavior of registration in the last years; and considering also its 24% annual growing rate. Proof of the above is that it took 15 years in getting the first 100,000 .MX domains, and two years and a half in reaching the next 100,000. Therefore, reaching the amount of 250,000 .MX domains in just a single year becomes a great satisfaction for NIC Mexico, and it also promises a shorter waiting period in reaching the next 100,000 .MX domain names, adds the registry.
This numbers draw attention to the fact that .MX domains are still winning share in the domain names' industry. This is due to different reasons, including NIC México's daily effort for satisfying its customers' needs; beside the increasing use of Internet in Mexico, claima the company.
Nowadays, the activities of business and individuals, whether they are professional or personal, require Internet access. It believes that thus, having Internet presence has become more relevant, becoming a way through which users are able to expand their personal and commercial relations. Simultaneously, it reduces the risk that may arise from remaining in obsolescence.
Further it also states that preference for .MX domain names is rapidly expanding, given that users, whether they are individuals or enterprises, recognize an added value in being able of identifying themselves with Mexico on Internet, at the same time they promote themselves worldwide; among other benefits.
