Selects NIC Mexico as partner to pursue the creation of an Internet domain for the Latin community.
NIC-Mexico, the domain registry for .mx,
announced that the Latin
American and Caribbean Federation for Internet and E-Commerce
(eCOM-LAC), has selected it as partner to pursue the creation of an
Internet domain for the
Latin community.
eCOM-LAC and NIC
Mexico will pursue the creation of an Internet domain name for Latinos, therefore
in the next months both organizations will concentrate efforts to accomplish all
the necessary tasks in order to develop and present a proposal to ICANN (Internet
Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers), who will analyze and rule on this
proposal.

this project for Latin America, so this achievement acknowledges the excellent work that NIC Mexico has been performing”, said Oscar

the Latin culture, allowing to identify resources of specific interest for the
