Beginning on February 1st, the price reduction will be applied through Registry .MX to the .COM.MX, .ORG.MX, .NET.MX and .MX classifications.

NIC Mexico, the independent organization that manages the .MX ccTLD, recently announced a permanent price reduction on domain names registrations under .MX different classifications. The company says that starting on February 1st, this action will benefit .MX users.

It explains that this action is possible because of the growth of .MX in the last years, which has been reached altogether with its Accredited Registrars; but also with the success of the .MX Reopening Process, which was concluded on the last months of 2009, reaching 71,642 domain name registrations directly under .MX, clearly this fact has contributed to impulse the use of .MX domains names. The company further states that such price reduction will be applied through the Registry .MX to .COM.MX, .ORG.MX, .NET.MX and .MX classifications, thus Accredited Registrars will have the chance to offer accessible prices to end users.

It avers that it will apply the reduction on the domain names registration and renewals rate's, according to the following table, depending on everyone needs:
