Designed for SMEs and web hosting providers, the Virtual Private Server solution utilizes the XEN virtualization system.
Nixperience, a Singapore based Linux resource company, today announced the release of NixVPS, a Virtual Private Server Solution, for Small Medium Enterprises/Businesses (SME/SMBs) and web hosts.
According to the company, utilizing the XEN virtualization system, NixVPS partitions a single physical server into many isolated virtual private servers where each virtual private server looks and behaves like a real networked server system, complete with its own configuration files, own versions of system libraries and its own control on users, processes, and file system.
Additionally, it provides immediate benefits over a shared server solution where one is able to gain immediate full control of the NixVPS instance, secure the file system away from any prying eyes in an isolated environment while maintaining direct access to a set of guaranteed resources. The features of a NixVPS instance include own processes and users, own IP address and port numbers, configuration files, versions of system libraries, can delete, add, modify any file, including files in /root, and install its own application software.
