Selects Cloudmark and Sendmail for security solution; protects OCN enterprise subscribers from phishing, spam and other message-driven attacks.
Cloudmark Inc., a secure messaging solutions provider, and Sendmail, an email security infrastructure, yesterday announced that OCN, Open Computer Network, an Internet connectivity service from NTT Communications of Japan, has deployed Sendmail Mailstream Manager and Cloudmark's Authority solutions to protect its enterprise subscribers from spam, phishing and other message-driven attacks.
NTT Com's OCN deployed Sendmail Mailstream Manager, which uses Cloudmark as the enabler of its powerful anti-spam and anti-phishing capabilities. Cloudmark's technology leverages a global collaborative network of users creating a humanized defense that works in real time to shield users against attacks as soon as they form, and with near-zero false positives.
Sendmail Mailstream Manager is a comprehensive e-mail security solution that combines anti-spam, anti-virus, text and attachment scanning and rich policy enforcement to protect users from a growing number of threats including denial of service attacks, viruses, spam and phishing attacks.
"Spam and other message-driven attacks are rising in prevalence every day, including stark increases in Japanese-language spam," said Kazuhiro Kitamura, Senior Manager of broadband IP services business division at NTT Com. "We considered multiple security options, but Cloudmark's industry-leading accuracy rate, coupled with its superior real time feedback system and ability to catch Japanese spam, proved to be the best possible protection for our users."
