New distribution deal with global distributor expands footprint for the company's data storage server operating system.

Open-E, Inc., a provider of unified IP storage management software, today announced that Ingram Micro Inc., a global distributor, has been authorized to distribute the company's products worldwide. The company avers that, effective immediately, Ingram Micro is adding Open-E Data Storage Server to its portfolio of IP storage solutions.

The company explains that the Data Storage Server provides a reliable and scalable storage operating system for IP Storage and is one of the easiest ways of implementing a NAS server and/or an iSCSI technology in a network. DSS offers enterprise functionality, manageability, reliability and increased productivity for applications ranging from file sharing, storage consolidation, backup and recovery, virtualization and disaster recovery, claims the company.
