The new UTM appliance provides firewall, VPN service, Intrusion Prevention System, anti-malware, content filtering, anti-spam protection and web filtering.
Panda Software, a developer of virus and intrusion prevention solutions, yesterday announced the beta version of the new Panda GateDefender Integra, an all-in-one appliance that protects SMBs against all types of threats.
GateDefender Integra is the new UTM (Unified Threat Management) appliance from Panda Software. The company says that this hardware device with software is designed to protect SMB networks through seven types of protection: firewall, VPN service, Intrusion Prevention System, anti-malware, content filtering, anti-spam protection and web filtering.
The device is installed at the gateway between the corporate network and the Internet, or another network. GateDefender Integra scans all inbound and outbound traffic in the corporate network, ensuring complete protection for all networks without degrading the performance of the connection, claims the company.
Panda GateDefender Integra is released on the market with two hardware models; GateDefender Integra 100 and GateDefender Integra 300, which provide four and eight communications ports, respectively, to adapt to companies' segmentation needs.
"GateDefender Integra is the ideal hassle-free solution that protects computers in their network with minimum impact on performance," says Paula Quiros, Director of the Hardware + Software Business Unit. "It is designed to be installed as rapidly and simply as possible, and requires minimal maintenance, leaving businesses to focus on their core activities."
