SaaS application provides integration with Parallels Plesk control panel and delivers hosted PBX services to business and residential users.
Parallels, a virtualization and automation software provider, today announced that it has signed an agreement with Rack-Soft to resell its flagship product VoipNow, a PBX software for service providers and enterprises. It states that the application has been integrated with their Plesk Control Panel and is delivered via the software-as-a-service model. It enables their service provider customers to offer low-cost, reliable PBX functionality to business and residential users.
The company avers that the hosted PBX model provides users with the advantages of a PBX system, which can cost tens of thousands of dollars to deploy and maintain, for a low monthly fee. It adds that a hosted PBX enables a company to easily connect its offices around the world and to implement advanced voice and video communication integrated with current software business tools. It claims that annual worldwide PBX revenue reached $8.9 billion in 2006, and is expected to reach almost $12 billion by 2010.
In addition, support for VoipNow is included with Parallels Plesk Control Panel 8.4. The VoipNow Plesk Module integrates the two products into a single management interface. By combining the hosting control panel with the hosted VoIP BPX software, hosting providers can offer more diversified services to their customers, expained the company. Further, the VoipNow Plesk Module also automates user management and dramatically simplifies the provisioning and delivery of voice and video services.
"Partnering with Rack-Soft to bring its PBX software solution to Parallels Plesk Control Panel users is an excellent example of how innovative technologies can be delivered via SaaS to help end users control costs and improve efficiency," said Serguei Beloussov, CEO of Parallels. "With competitive pricing and leasing options, Parallels makes it cost effective and flexible for service providers to integrate key SaaS applications, such as VoIPNow, into their portfolios."
"We are excited to work with Parallels to offer VoipNow through its service provider channel," said Bogdan Carstoiu, Rack-Soft's general manager. "Now, with the integration into the Parallels Plesk Control Panel, customers can manage hosting and VoIP services from the same web-based interface."
