Quality Technology Services,
a data center provider, yesterday announced the 200,000 sq. ft. Phase I
build-out of the Quality Metro Tech Center, a data center in downtown
Atlanta.
To date, 130,000 sq. ft. of space has been sold and plans for Phase
II to expand the facility an additional 200,000 sq. ft. are underway.
Upon completion of all phases, the one million square foot building
will have over 600,000 sq. ft. of raised floor, the company claimed.
The Phase I build-out includes 21 Megawatts of usable UPS power,
200,000 sq. ft. of raised floor, and over 40 Megawatts of generator
backup. The facility, located near downtown Atlanta, boasts an on-site
substation dedicated to the Quality Metro facility. The site has a
fiber access to major network providers. Phase I is estimated to be
complete and ready for occupancy by Nov. 2007, claims the company, they
added in their release.

cooling solution across a 200,000 sq. ft. raised floor area puts
