Quest Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: QSFT), a leading provider of application management solutions, today announced that its FastLane® ActiveRoles solution will support Microsoft’s Active Directory® Application Mode (ADAM). Quest Software’s FastLane ActiveRoles will be able to store its data in ADAM, enabling customers to continue to utilize its security and management benefits when using the ADAM version of Active Directory.

Quest Software’s FastLane ActiveRoles simplifies and automates Windows and Exchange security by providing centralized
management of all Active Directory security and content across the entire enterprise. ADAM is a new capability for Active Directory that enables diverse applications to be integrated with Active Directory. Support for ADAM will enable FastLane ActiveRoles to store core ActiveRoles objects such as roles, rules and views, in ADAM data stores, rather than within Active Directory itself, providing flexible options for organizations integrating their corporate directory systems.
