Rackspace Managed Hosting announced today that it has launched Rackspace Red Label, a new Linux managed hosting offering to enterprise customers.
The company cites that Red Label adds to Rackspace's traditional Linux offering to high-end Linux managed hosting and includes key services like a redundant and distributed patching system, multi-layer monitoring systems and support for application infrastructure components like Oracle, MySQL, JBoss and Apache. Red Label is suited for advanced applications running on J2EE or Linux-Apache-MySQL-PHP/Perl/Python (LAMP).
"We're responding to a growing demand for advanced Linux hosting, and Rackspace Red Label provides a responsive, secure and stable environment for enterprises looking to capitalize on the benefits of Linux for application development," said Paul Froutan, vice president, product engineering, Rackspace Managed Hosting.
"Our strong partnerships with some of the best Linux vendors like Novell and Red Hat have enabled us to deliver an openly-architected and best-of-breed solution backed by Rackspace's Linux expertise and Fanatical Support," he added.
