Appoints Karl Pichler as Vice President of Finance and Michael Landesman as Vice President of Infrastructure and Operations.

Rackspace Managed Hosting, a hosting service provider, today announced that it has added two new executives to its leadership team - Karl Pichler as Vice President of Finance and Michael Landesman as Vice President of Infrastructure and Operations. 

As Vice President of Finance, Pichler will oversee Rackspace's business model with the mission of continuously improving the company's profitability and capital efficiency. He is also responsible for directing all corporate finance activities within the company, including financial planning, treasury, investor relations and supply chain. Pichler joins Rackspace from Stern Stewart & Co. where he served as VP and was responsible for the North American middle market advisory practice. Earlier in his career, Pichler was a research fellow at the Institute for Financial Management in Switzerland and worked as a business analyst at Swiss Bank Corporation.

Landesman will continue Rackspace's dedication to Fanatical Support among the infrastructure and operations teams to maintain the 100%server and network uptime guaranteed to Rackspace customers. He will also develop corporate-wide datacenter plans and priorities aligned with overall IT and business direction and vision. He brings 20 years of experience in IT infrastructure, having spent the last six years with Savvis Inc. As VP of data center operations, he oversaw the construction of four data centers and established a staffing model for system engineers to build a full-time support staff.
