Redbus Interhouse will house failover servers and networking equipment belonging to Rackspace in its London data centre.
Redbus Interhouse plc, a provider of colocation and managed services provider, last week announced that Rackspace , a managed hosting provider, has signed the company’s 1000th customer contract.
Under the agreement, Redbus Interhouse will house failover servers and networking equipment belonging to Rackspace in a suite in one of it's data centres in London. According to Rackspace, it is looking to increase the overall capacity of its network to 7.0Gbps. It decided that it would replicate its core network at Redbus Interhouse because of the quality and location of its colocation facilities in London, combined with the breadth of choice of its connectivity providers, and Redbus Interhouse’s experience and expertise in the colocation market.
Mike Tobin, CEO of Redbus Interhouse, said, "As a managed hosting specialist, Rackspace is renowned throughout the industry for the outstanding level of support it provides its customers. We’re therefore delighted that the company has chosen to expand its network capacity and resilience at Redbus Interhouse and we look forward to playing our role in underpinning the network that has already delivered four years of continuous network uptime."
