Registrants have to go through pre-authentication process in order to get authenticated for eligibility for travel-domains.

Secura, an ICANN accredited registrar, recently announced that it is accepting travel-domains for registration.

The travel-domain is the top level domain exclusively for businesses, organizations and individuals in the travel industry. Registrants interested in registering for travel-domains have to go through pre-authentication process in order to get authenticated for eligibility for .travel.

This process can be done through either an authenticating association of which the customer is a member or through DUNS Number issued by D&B. The list of authenticating associations can be found on the website of Tralliance Corporation, the registry for .tavel domain names. After successful authentication the customer will receive a confirmed Unique Identification Number (UIN) and a Names List with which the registrant should contact right away.
