Sibername.com, an ICANN accredited registrar and hosting company, announced that on .eu launch day, April 7th and following days, it registered over 3000 .eu domain names for customers.

The company said that over 1.5 million .eu domains have been registered since it's inception on April 7th and analysts expect the extension to become second to only .com. Sibername.com is a EURID accredited official registrar of the .eu domain. The company announced that of the 8000 land-rush applications they received, they successfully registered over 1300 of these domains for their customers.

Sibername.com also announced that they will be offering registration services for some domains unavailable through land-rush due to pending sunrise applications. They expect this service to go live in June.
