SimpleNet, a premier provider of Web hosting, domain management, email, and data center services withstood a 5.3 magnitude earthquake. The quake shook the San Diego region for a few seconds at around 3:30 p.m. on June 15.

The United State Geological Society reported that the moderate quake registered 5.3 on the Richter scale. It was centered 49 miles west-southwest of San Diego and around 52 miles from the coast of Rosarito Beach in Mexico. Although the epicenter of the quake was beneath the ocean floor, experts said there was no threat of a tsunami hitting the coastline of California.
