The company offers minimum 2 gigs of RAM free to all new and current customers after completing significant $100,000 memory upgrade project.

SingleHop, Inc., a managed dedicated hosting provider, today announced that it has completed an aggressive, free of charge, memory upgrade program. It claims that over 900 of its customers had less than 2 GB of RAM in their servers when the program commenced in July 2008; today almost every customer has a minimum 2 GB of RAM. The company adds that all new customers will receive a minimum of 2 GB of RAM in their servers, also free of charge. It avers that it allowed customers to schedule the time and date when their upgrade would be performed during the process.

The company further states that the entire program, valued at over $100,000, was aimed at increasing customer loyalty and satisfaction, as well as improving its competitiveness in the marketplace.

"We accomplished two very important goals through our upgrade program," says Zak Boca, President of SingleHop, "first we increased the satisfaction and loyalty of our existing clients by giving them an upgrade for free.  Second, we made our server offerings more competitive with the overall marketplace," he adds.

"A lot of hosting providers like to upgrade their packages for new clients, but don't touch the packages for existing customers. In our opinion this is counter-productive. We're just as concerned with keeping current customers happy as we are with attracting new ones. Happy customers provide the best word of mouth advertising you can't buy!  Finally, we believe that upgrading clients server memory will yield fewer technical problems and more powerful servers," said Dan Ushman, VP of SingleHop.
