Introduces Advanced Automatic Server Provisioning technology to its client portal.
SingleHop, a managed dedicated hosting provider, today announced the expansion of their LEAP Client portal with Advanced Automatic Server Provisioning (AASP) technology.
The company articulates that the Advanced Automatic Server Provisioning works like this: The client selects a server model and customizes the hardware, software and management features as they normally would. LEAP's AASP system will then attempt to locate a server that matches the customized hardware, if it finds one it will automatically select it and start the installation process. If hardware customization is required, LEAP will select the closest match and notify one of the company's Data Center Techs to upgrade the hardware on the server. Once the upgrade is complete, LEAP will start provisioning the server. This process is transparent to the end-user. Since LEAP AASP does not require any sales team involvement, servers can be provisioned instantly.
"In a nutshell AASP will match a server to a client's specifications; this represents the next step in the evolution of our LEAP webtop. LEAP allows clients to have complete control over their infrastructure remotely, and for it to serve as a platform for delivering products and services. The first logical step, for us, was to allow our clients the ability to remotely configure and quickly deploy a server, without interaction with our sales team or anyone at SingleHop," says Luke Tworek, Development Lead for SingleHop.
"We've seen extremely positive feedback from both existing clients, and from within the community on our announcement of LEAP. LEAP is a great product today, and over the next couple of months we'll have a number of additions that give our clients additional control over their services with our company," says Luke.
