Built on Web 2.0 technologies, this AJAX-based tool, requires only one username and password to access all of its features.
Slamdot, Inc., a
web hosting provider, today announced the launch of their new control
panel built exclusively on next-generation, Web 2.0 technologies.
The
company integrates billing, support, hosting and domain name management
into a single AJAX-based tool, requiring only one username and password
to access all of its features. The control panel was developed using
Ruby on Rails.
Customers are hosted on high-performance CentOS
Linux servers, located in SoftLayer's award-winning Dallas, Texas
datacenter. The company's RAID servers, paired with its incredibly
powerful and easy-to-use control panel, are backed by Unites
States-based technical support, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
"Slamdot
is all about integration and ease of use. We set out to build our own
ideal hosting environment to address the problems that we personally
had experienced with other web hosting companies. We then invited users
to try our approach, and the response has been absolutely phenomenal.
Our aim is to make Web hosting management easier and more likable,
without forfeiting features, performance, or reliability. We're very
passionate about our control panel, and we take our support and uptime
just as seriously. By working with SoftLayer, we're able to provide
superior hardware, while maintaining complete control over our servers
through their virtual datacenter tools. That means we don't have all of
the added costs and aging equipment involved with owning our own
datacenter. We pass those savings along to the customer", said Sean
Christman, CEO of Slamdot.
