SmarterTools Inc., an information technology-management software company, this week announced the release of SmarterTrack 4.x. The company states that the release of this customer service software includes new features and enhancements, including brand support, agent instant messaging, real-time translation of live chats, expanded WhosOn visitor tracking, multi-language support, and an integrated survey system. It adds that SmarterTrack is the first product in the SmarterTools line to be offered as software or as a hosted service (SaaS).
The company explains that with the release of SmarterTrack 4.x, customers have the option of purchasing SmarterTrack as installed software or as a hosted service (SaaS). As an on-demand solution, Hosted SmarterTrack can significantly reduce a company's IT costs by allowing companies to deploy business applications over the Web without purchasing servers or installing software. For customers using Hosted SmarterTrack, the software is loaded onto servers in secure, Tier 3 data centers maintained by SmarterTools.
