Integration to help Parallels hosting provider customers offer SmarterTrack to end users.

SmarterTools, Inc., a developer of web-based, enterprise-class applications for businesses and hosting environments, announced that the integration of its SmarterTrack Customer Service Software into the Application Packaging Standard Catalog being enabled by Parallels. It states that the APS Catalog is a repository for a broad range of applications that will help Parallels Hosting Provider customers offer business applications, like SmarterTrack, to the enterprise, SMBs, and end users.

It articulates that SmarterTrack provides all the features and functionality of a robust Help Desk, Ticket System, Live Chat, Cost Analysis, Data Mining, Knowledge Base, and Reporting software applications delivered within one elegant web interface. It says that, coupled with its unique ability to automate and extend to external databases and applications, SmarterTrack can effectively replace multiple applications and services, such as Live Person, Bold Chat, Sales Force CRM, Kayako, Cerberus, and many more—saving time, overhead, and integration costs.

The company states that APS was developed by Parallels to simplify the integration of web applications into hosting environments. The standard packaging format allows software developed by independent software vendors to be distributed by service providers. APS-certified applications can be easily integrated in hosting platforms that also conform to this standard, adds the company.
