Parallels, a provider virtualization and automation software, announced today that Solar Virtualization Technologies Group, a Platinum partner in the Parallels Service Provider Partner Program, is using their technologies to launch new software-as-a-service solutions for small and medium businesses.
The company states that its automation datacenter software provides a centralized operations and business management system, which enables Solar VTG to offers its customers integrated mobile and messaging services that include Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint and Blackberry Enterprise Server.
Further it says that Virtuozzo Containers virtualization software provides Solar VTG with the underlying infrastructure to offer virtual private server services, deliver SaaS applications and manage internal administrative tasks with minimal effort. This enables Solar VTG to create new templates for services in just a few hours instead of days, avers the company.
"We are pleased to partner with Solar VTG to help optimize the infrastructure supporting their new SaaS business," said Serguei Beloussov, CEO of Parallels. "Solar VTG demonstrates how Parallels products can be used as an effective delivery platform for SaaS offerings targeted to the SMB market.
"Using automation and virtualization technology from Parallels, we have been able to create an optimized infrastructure to fully automate our service delivery platform and offer complex services without cumbersome new customer setup and order provisioning," said Ross Brouse, CEO of Solar VTG. "The Parallels solution handles our billing, provisioning, licensing and management, so we can focus on our customers and partners."
