Adopts Continuous Data Protection; provides data protection to shared hosting customers as a standard value-added service.
SpiralHost, a web hosting provider, today announced that it has joined R1Soft's Hosting Partner Program, an opportunity to help it market and implement the software company's data backup solution, Continuous Data Protection.
The company says that it currently offers Continuous Data Protection to all customers as a free service, dubbed Rest Easy. The data protection technology from R1Soft provides real-time backup of data, virtually eliminating the threat of data loss in the event of a disaster. Through the R1Soft Hosting Partner Program, the company claims that it will receive access to priority technical support from R1Soft, a variety of sales and marketing resources, and expert assistance on effectively deploying the data protection solution.
The company articulates that Rest Easy data protection includes three separate backup schedules for each Shared hosting account: Weekly backups store eight restore points for two months; Daily Backups store 14 restore points for two weeks; and hourly backups store 48 restore points for two days. Customers may specify which files should be backed up.
"Providing a sound data backup solution for our customers is very important as our company competes in the world market. With R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection, we are able to affordably deliver on our promise to do everything we can to safeguard our customers' data," said Greg Bales, Managing Director of SpiralHost. "Our Rest Easy data protection service has already proven to be an enormous success and we look forward to offering continually more competitive solutions as the needs of our customers change in time."
"SpiralHost has proven its commitment to data protection by rigorously deploying our solution on a variety of levels, especially with its progressive set of backup schedules. We are excited at the opportunity to more closely work with SpiralHost to make Continuous Data Protection an important asset for their customers," said David Wartell, Vice President of R1Soft division, BBS Technologies, Inc.
