Company provides its clients with a backup and recovery solution utilizing R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection software.
Steadfast Networks, a web services provider, today announced that it will offer R1Soft's high-performance Continuous Data Protection to customers as an all-in-one backup solution. The company states that the new service will empower users with an easy-to-use web interface that allows them to schedule their own backups, while utilizing less server resources.
The company explains that R1Soft CDP enables them to now offer an easily accessible backup service. With R1Soft's Web interface, customers can manage their own backups without having to contact Steadfast, simplifying the backup process for everyone. It adds that R1Soft also makes management of the overall backup configuration easier by automatically allocating customers to the correct places, eliminating the concern of disk space shortage.
"R1Soft gives us a known solid platform we can build the backup side of our business on. We don't need to worry about our customers' familiarity with rsync or other shell scripts anymore. Now we can directly offer them an end-to-end backup solution. It reduces our concerns, decreases our work load, and improves customer satisfaction, as they have everything they need right at their fingertips," said Karl Zimmerman, president of Steadfast Networks. "There is now no excuse for letting a drive failure, user error, or similar incident cause catastrophic data failures when backing up on a very regular basis is so easy and inexpensive."
"Adding Continuous Data Protection should help with customer acquisitions on the backup side and be an additional attraction to potential fully managed dedicated server customers," said David Wartell, vice president of R1Soft, a division of BBS Technologies, Inc.
