Sun Microsystems, Inc., a technology firm and web hosting provider, today announced that it has introduced the new GlassFish Enterprise Server V3 Prelude solution, as well as a preview of the Java Platform Enterprise Edition 6 application.
The company states that GlassFish has become one of the popular open source application servers. It further states that the Sun GlassFish Enterprise Server version 3 Prelude, was developed as a lightweight web application server based on a modular OSGi architecture. A new preview of the upcoming Java Platform Enterprise Edition 6 (Java EE) features, is also available.
The company avers that customers will benefit from GlassFish Enterprise Server v3 Prelude's efficient and simplified development and management environments. The new release delivers major productivity features such as:
