Switch and Data, the leading neutral interconnection,Internet exchange and colocation provider, today announced the appointment of Kathleen Earley to its Board of Directors.

Ms. Earley has over 26 years of experience in information technology, e-business and Internet, in senior operating and strategic roles with IBM and AT&T.; Ms. Earley currently holds positions on the Board of Directors of Telespree Communications and Computer Network Technology. She also serves as a visionary within the industry, and has been featured by Information Week, Network World and Telephony magazines.

While at AT&T;, Ms. Earley was a Senior Vice President of AT&T;, and President of Data and Internet Services. This was an $8B business unit providing IP services, web- hosting, and data and managed network services to businesses worldwide. Under her leadership, AT&T; became a market leader in IP, virtual private networks, frame relay, asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) and private line technologies. During 1977 to 1993, Ms. Earley held various strategic and operating roles at IBM, including Director of Multimedia Alliances, Director of IBM/Prodigy and Director of Planning for the Information Systems Product Group.
