OGC's new dark fiber entry path will improve connectivity at TELEHOUSE Center.
TELEHOUSE America, a provider of high-level data center and collocation facilities, recently announced the addition of Optical Communications Group's (OGC) new dark fiber entry path to its facility, TELEHOUSE Center, located at The Teleport in Staten Island, NY.
TELEHOUSE says that the new path is the first addition of two new OCG fiber entry points. At this project's completion there will be three fiber entry points into the facility. Carriers now can access 7 Teleport Drive via a new totally diverse underground fiber path from fiber routes running through Staten Island. Clients that take advantage of this new path will immediately gain a higher level of network security and functionality, claims the company.
Additionally, carriers now can supply a second path from TELEHOUSE Center to connect to Manhattan's 25 Broadway, 60 Hudson Street and 111 Eighth Avenue and the trans-Atlantic cable heads in eastern Long Island, New York. The new route is part of a plan to improve connectivity at TELEHOUSE Center.
"With the addition of this new dark fiber route into The Teleport, we can offer clients a solution with greater communications diversity, significant power cost savings, a spacious facility for server clusters and a high-level security location that surpasses disaster recovery requirements," said Michael Vallone, Head of Marketing at TELEHOUSE.
