The Planet, a privately held hosting company, today announced discounts on its dedicated private racks, a hosting solution for multi-server environments. The company says that the first month of service is free for new orders.

It explains that its dedicated private racks are useful for larger environments that require the ability to grow rapidly. With Gigabit networking, SAN solutions, load balancing and security options, private rack customers can have flexibility in their hosted solution, claims the company.

''As customers grow their businesses and require more complex hosting solutions, they're looking for greater flexibility for managing their IT infrastructures, while maintaining full control of the environment," said Urvish Vashi, The Planet's general manager for dedicated servers.
