Scott Hyden, a Harvard graduate, will serve as new president; the company is also taking on a new vice president and director for product development.

The Planet, a provider of hosting services and solutions, recently announced that it has named Scott Hyten as the president. Company founder, Peter Pathos, remains as Chairman. Also joining The Planet in June are Bryan Lynn as vice president, product development; Jeremy Doupe, director, product development; and Rob Orr, general counsel.
 
Scott Hyten, began his career as a senior systems engineer for the Intergraph Corporation. In 1988 he was one of the first 18 employees of Perot Systems. Later he served as Senior Vice President for Computer Science Corporation. In 1998, Hyten founded Interfase Capital Partners, focused on the entertainment and technology industries. Scott Hyten, as the CEO of Wild Brain Inc., enjoyed a 300% increase in revenue and secured $30 million in investment financing.
