Company adds two new servers to its product portfolio that include the latest in Intel processing horsepower.

The Planet, a privately held dedicated hosting company, today announced that it has added two new value-priced servers to its product portfolio that include the latest in Intel processing horsepower.  The company states that featuring the new Intel Pentium G6950 processor, these powerful servers are now the entry point for its Dell server fleet. It further states that as an additional value, all new server purchases from it receive free-of-charge the choice of a cPanel or Parallels Plesk control panel, free Symantec antivirus software and 10GB of free cloud storage.

The company explains that both new servers - the G6950 SATA and the G6950 SATA Plus - come equipped with the Intel Pentium G6950, featuring a dual-core 2.8 GHz, 32nm processor for more computing power in a small package. Both are showcased in a Dell PowerEdge R210 chassis, which provides the smallest power footprint in the 11th generation PowerEdge portfolio. It adds that with the Pentium G6950 SATA, customers can take advantage of 2GB of RAM, a 250GB SATA hard drive and 2TB of bandwidth for $99 per month.  The G6950 SATA Plus model - priced at $125 per month - provides twice the RAM and hard drive space.
