Trigence Corp., announced the availability of Trigence AE 2.1, a powerful application environment that delivers unprecedented levels of LINUX-based application manageability and reliability across the data center while significantly reducing operating costs and increasing utilization of existing infrastructure and investment.

“The level of agility that Trigence AE provides data center managers by decoupling applications from the underlying infrastructure and making them portable and manageable with a simple drag and drop action is what sets this technology apart,” said Chuck Colford, president and CEO, Trigence. “Trigence recognizes that real business value lies in the application, not the supporting infrastructure, while management tools today either address the infrastructure only or the entire software stack. We developed Trigence AE so data centers can manage their applications as portable, discrete units of value by simply dragging and dropping them from server to server.”

Trigence AE allows data center executives to meet increasing challenges in application management through its patented containerization technology, a unique approach that allows applications to be stored in secure software containers. Once containerized, applications can be simply managed separately from the operating system and hardware. This allows easy discovery, provisioning, duplication, monitoring and movement of multiple applications across servers and data centers.

Due to the secure nature of Trigence AE containers, multiple applications are able to reside safely together on a single operating system and server, making much more efficient use of the server capacity that companies have at their disposal and levering the existing investment in infrastructure. This is in sharp contrast to the current data center situation where a single application typically requires its own discrete operating system and server hardware.

Additionally, the Trigence AE platform allows the immediate failover of a container to another server if necessary, eradicating the need to build duplicate server, operating and application stacks in order to provide failover redundancy. This ensures maximum reliability of required applications when needed by users across an organization.

Trigence AE, which currently supports all major LINUX distributions, is available in both a license and subscription-based model.
