Deployment to improve performance and security for India's Internet community and the .in TLD.
UltraDNS Corporation, a provider of managed DNS services, today announced the extension of its global infrastructure with a node deployment in India.
It says that the deployment would improve performance, security and reliability as users access the millions of domains powered by UltraDNS. The Directory Services Platform is authoritative for approximately 20% of the world's Internet domains. The Indian deployment of an UltraDNS node, a self-contained cluster of proprietary servers, systems, and data, improves response times to the Directory Services Platform for the country's Internet users, claims the company. This investment further supports India's rapid adoption of Internet usage and services.
UltraDNS also supports India's TLD, .in, through its partnership with Afilias, an integrated global provider of domain name registry services.
"India has emerged as a hub of technical innovation and advancement. UltraDNS now enables the Indian Internet community to access a major portion of the Internet including its own country TLD with unmatched speed and reliability," said Ben Petro, president and CEO, UltraDNS. "UltraDNS will continue to expand our Directory Services Platform to meet demand from Internet users globally and from our enterprise and infrastructure customers."
