Offers a new entry level plan designed for smaller businesses that need to protect 1 GB or less of critical data and work documents.
Verio Inc., a web hosting provider,
today announced additions to its line of PC Data Backup offerings, with
a new entry level plan for smaller businesses, designed to protect 1 GB
or less of critical data and work documents.
According to the release, Verio PC Data Backup safeguards data stored
on personal computers by automatically backing up files to a secure
offsite facility, and providing customers the ability to easily restore
files should any type of data loss occur, such as hard drive failure,
data corruption, virus or accidental deletion.
The new 1 GB plan from Verio is targeted at small businesses that need to
backup simple spreadsheets, word processing or other financial
documents. Verio also offers PC Data Backup plans for businesses that
need to secure higher volumes of data or larger files, such as media or
graphics. Plans range up to 30 GB of storage.
“With an increasing threat to data stored on
PCs, it is no longer practical for small
businesses to back up customer records, financials and other information
on thumb drives, or other methods that store data backups onsite,”
said Dennis Boyle, Chief Operating Officer. “Verio
PC Data Backup offers small businesses an easy-to-use method for
protecting critical data to a secure, offsite facility, which is
cost-effective.”
