New Solution Offers fully managed SharePoint environment on Windows Server 2008 with Hyper-V.

VIA Networks, a provider of managed services and dedicated hosting solutions, today announced the launch of its new fully managed Windows SharePoint Services solution in a virtualized environment. The company states that the new configuration is built around best practices for developing and deploying Microsoft SharePoint solutions on Windows Server 2008 with Hyper-V. It claims that this configuration helps organizations to deploy a full Windows SharePoint Services solution in a virtualization environment, providing a flexible option for customer applications.

The company further articulates that the new VIA Networks virtual WSS configuration was created for organizations who want to maximize their hosted environments due to high growth or fluctuations in capacity. The new solution features architecture consistent with Microsoft SharePoint environments on traditional server deployments and employs Microsoft's best practices for high performance, scalability and capacity planning.
