Expands its network with the addition of a Point of Presence in the Equinix Washington, D.C. area Internet Business Exchange (IBX) center.
Voxel dot Net, Inc., a New York-based managed services provider, today announced the expansion of its network with the addition of a Point of Presence in the Equinix Washington, D.C. area Internet Business Exchange (IBX) center.
The company also added a direct gigabit connection to the Equinix Exchange peering fabric at this location. The addition of Equinix's Washington, D.C. metro IBX location and associated peering agreements is part of Voxel's strategy of network expansion. This expansion is being executed as part of the company's approach to adding additional Points of Presence based on customer demand and peering opportunities, such as those available through the Equinix Exchange peering fabric, said the company.
"Voxel is excited about its continued network footprint expansion and we look forward to providing the same high quality services in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area as our customers have come to expect from the entire Voxel dot Net network," stated Adam Rothschild, Vice President of Network Architecture and Operations at Voxel.
"Voxel has been an Equinix customer for over six years, and we are pleased that they continue to choose us as a partner in their expansion plans," said Margie Backaus, Chief Business Officer of Equinix. "The sheer number and diverse nature of network providers available in our Washington, D.C. center make it a strategic network connectivity hub and logical choice for companies such as Voxel."
