Equinix, Inc., the leading provider of network-neutral data centers and Internet exchange services, today announced that Yahoo! has signed an expanded, multi-year agreement to host its Yahoo!'s IT operations. The agreement expands Yahoo!'s current deployments within Equinix Internet Business Exchange (IBX) centers. As a part of the agreement, Yahoo! will continue to utilize Equinix to host a portion of Yahoo!'s IT operations supporting services to businesses and consumers. Within Equinix's neutral Internet hubs, Yahoo! has access to an aggregation of Equinix's key business partners Internet companies, including every major global network, enabling Yahoo! to reduce connectivity costs and enhance end-user performance. Additionally, Equinix's centers offer industry-leading infrastructure, including high-performance security, power and temperature-control features, within a highly flexible environment.
