Q9 Networks Inc., a provider of outsourced Internet infrastructure and related managed services, yesterday announced that it has been selected by Afilias, a global provider of domain name registry services, to host the primary infrastructure for a number of the top-level domains to which it provides registry services.

Q9, which currently provides Afilias with complete backup and disaster recovery services for the .INFO and .ORG domains, now extends its co-location, bandwidth and managed services to support many of Afilias' country code top level domains (TLDs) and sponsored TLDs, such as the soon to be released .mobi domain for mobile devices.
