The Planet Chooses NTT America to Deliver IPv6
 

The Planet, a privately held dedicated hosting company, and NTT America, Inc., a wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation and an enterprise solution provider that integrates networks, hosting and Web infrastructure services, today announced that after integration of NIT America's technology, the company will offer its customers an access to IPv6, the next-generation Internet protocol. The company declared that the development on the project begins immediately, and it expects to announce availability in late 2008.

The company states that the IPv6 provides a vast improvement over the current IPv4, deployed in the 1980s, by increasing address space, providing support for mobile devices, and improving quality of service and data security.
