Open-Xchange Partners with The Endurance International Group
Open-Xchange, a provider of open source collaboration software, recently announced its partnership with The Endurance International Group, a provider of domains, hosting and online services. The agreement will bring cloud-based communications and collaboration to more than 2 million Endurance customers.
The company avers that Open-Xchange integrates email, calendar, contact and task management with advanced collaboration and cutting-edge social network integration. Personal contacts from social networks like Facebook, LinkedIn or Xing can be easily added to the Open-Xchange address book. By adding Open-Xchange mobility capabilities, users can push email and synchronize contacts, calendars and other information from their Open-Xchange accounts to their smartphones - including iPhone, Android-based devices, Nokia and Windows Phone.
"Open-Xchange is no stranger to helping clients thrive," said Rafael Laguna, CEO, Open-Xchange. "Endurance customers will find their email experience improve significantly, with the ability to customize their email clients to fit their personal and business needs. Add-on and upgrade options will provide customers additional flexibility. All told, Endurance customers will have advanced communication capabilities that will help them grow their businesses."
"We are ardent advocates of open platforms, and were very particular when selecting a new email platform for our clients," said Hari Ravichandran, Founder and CEO of The Endurance International Group. "With the switch to Open-Xchange, we're giving our users outstanding email service, as well as options for collaboration that are on par with those of large enterprises. The efficiency and communications options Open-Xchange presents will give our customers a distinct competitive advantage."
"Endurance has one of the largest bases of online small-business customers in the world. This is a very significant strategic win for Open-Xchange," said Philbert Shih, Managing Director and Founder, Structure Research. "Endurance will greatly benefit from being able to offer its customers the next generation of Open-Xchange, which will include significant new changes to the user experience, when introduced later this year. We continue to see email and collaboration as growth centers in the cloud services world and believe hosters have a unique opportunity to raise ARPU (average revenue per user) and enhance customer retention."
