123-reg Runs Promotion on .EU Domains
 

123-reg, a domain name registrar and web hosting solutions provider, announced last week that it is offering .eu domains for 99 Pence ($1.95). The company states that the .eu domain is dedicated to companies and organizations based in Europe that require a web presence. The domain was launched in 2006 and around 2.8 million .eu domain names have already been registered, it adds.

"Having a .eu domain promotes online companies credentials of selling products and services throughout Europe," explained 123-reg's Managing Director, Thomas Vollrath. ".eu shows that you are open for business across Europe and makes it easier to have a one-stop shop website rather than an address for each country they operate in."
