NIC Mexico Ink Agreement with Tecnológico de Monterrey
Network Information Center Mexico (NIC Mexico) and the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Monterrey Campus, in May released the DNSSEC Trial México, a project that allows them to be pioneers on DNSSEC technology. The main objective of this project was to provide a platform where users and companies can experiment with DNSSEC technology (developed by the IETF - Internet Engineering Task Force). This project is part of the research and development efforts being done by both institutions. DNSSEC Trial Mexico offers the Internet users a web portal where domains under the classification test.mx can be registered. DNSSEC is a DNS protocol extension that allows the cryptographic verification of DNS responses. DNSSEC allows the user to verify that the information comes from the source he is expecting, avoiding various attacks, claims the company. |
