Peak 10, a data center operator and managed services provider, today announced the deployment of Internap's Flow Control Platform (FCP) to deliver enhanced routing capabilities for its entire network infrastructure.

The FCP solution enables Peak 10 to increase network reliability and performance by intelligently routing traffic across its private network, which links the company's data centers spread throughout the Southeastern U.S.

The FCP solution is a network appliance deployed at the edge of Peak 10's network. By intelligently routing traffic across multiple-ISP links to conform to performance guidelines and business policies, the solution enables Peak 10 to load balance and optimize its network. This optimization lowers network latency by an average of 35% while ensuring risk diversity in the event of a carrier outage or brownout, claims the company.
