C I Host Upgrades Dallas and Chicago Data Centers
C I Host, a web hosting and data center services provider, last week announced that it has installed neutral current eliminators (NCEs) and upgraded other power systems at its data centers in Dallas and Chicago. The company says that the addition of NCEs will cleanse the power supply to ensure that the C I Host network and client servers receive the cleanest and most efficient power supply possible. Computers, including servers, will last longer and are less likely to overheat when neutral current is eliminated. C I Host claims that in Chicago all circuits were upgraded to 30 amp from 20 amp, power distribution panels were expanded and the load on any panel was reduced to less than 60 percent. In Dallas, the company replaced the core switching gear, upgraded transformers and set an additional transformer from a diverse grid for further power expansion. Christopher Faulkner, CEO of C I Host said that they had also installed cellular-based power monitoring systems that monitor every power panel within its data center. And if any panel loses power, the system dials out and notifies its engineers within 30 seconds. "Each of these upgrades will give our customers a higher level of security, knowing that their mission-critical data is secure, their website will be functioning 24/7 and their online-related businesses won't be interrupted," added Faulkner. |
