HostDime Launches HostDime UK
 

HostDime, a web hosting provider, today announced that it has launched HostDime United Kingdom, a wholly owned subsidiary offering Shard hosting, Reseller hosting, Virtual Private Servers (VPS), and Dedicated Servers. The company states that this launch is the company's fifth international division.

It avers that the new United Kingdom division allows it to better serve clients in the United Kingdom and Western Europe through specialized customer relations procedures and servers in geographically strategic locations. The company articulates that namely, by locating servers and network equipment in the Untied Kingdom, it reduces average network latency, as compared to the United States, by 100ms – a huge improvement in speed for high-demand Web applications. It says that the servers for HostDime UK will be colocated in the Blue Square Data Centre in Berkshire, England.

''As we explored the market in the United Kingdom, we realized that prices are substantially higher than in similar markets in other parts of the world. The inflated prices are a result of substantially greater labor, electric, and operating costs for businesses within the Untied Kingdom,'' Emmanuel Vivar, HostDime CEO. ''As a United States-based company, we are able to leverage a favorable business climate and our existing infrastructure of more than 100 employees to robustly compete in the United Kingdom hosting marketplace. Our existing operations effectively scale to serve this new subsidiary.''
