Moniker Wins Special Secure Domain Registration Award
Moniker.com, an ICANN accredited domain name registrar, today announced that it has won a special secure domain registration award presented at the T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Domain Name Conference in Delray Beach Florida. The award is given by the WADND for registrars that have been diligent and cooperative in working with registrants to help them prevent hijacking and recover stolen domains. The World Association of Domain Name Developers (WADND) was formed in 2004 to create a worldwide organization where Internet users could find desired results with maximum efficiency and web vendors could achieve profitability through the demand created by an unlimited supply of quality visitors. WADND will also be awarding seals that registrars meeting high level standards in security and customer service will be able to display on their websites. "At Moniker.com we are passionate about domain name security," said Eric Harrington, President of Moniker. "We set all accounts to HIGH SECURITY which requires email verification for most critical changes such as DNS, Registrant Changes, and Transfers. We are one of a few registrars that have an opt in domain theft guard policy which denies these requests unless specifically authorized by the registrant and we are the only registrar that has executive review of every transfer out request by at least 3 employees including an officer of the company in an effort to verify the validity of such requests. Finally, personal contact is made to each registrant if there are any questions about the legitimacy of the request," added Harrington. |
