This section analyzes the domains lost by NORDNET, and accordingly demonstrates how the registrar lost these domains. A registrar can lose domains if existing domains expire (Loss by Deletion) or if domains are transferred to another registrar (Loss by Transfer). These types of loss are explained in detail at the bottom of this page.

Section Notes:

An ICANN registrar can lose domains in the following ways:

1) Loss by Deletion (Deleted Domains)
When an existing domain ceases to exist (expires), the registrar loses a domain. This type of loss is termed as Loss by Deletion.

2) Loss by Transfer (Transferred Domains)
When a client decides to shift its domain from one registrar to another, then the former registrar loses a domain. This type of Loss is termed as Loss by Transfer.


Tip: Loss by Transfer represents an important figure. It is the number of domains transferred from NORDNET to another Registrar. Please refer to the "Loss by Transfer" section for further details.
